We have found this unit an ideal fit in our home, the large front room has cathedral ceilings and the plumber and I were able to find just the right place to fit the register and the acceable wall. The unit is able to lower the temperature to a good comfortable temperature. Easyto use and just what we needed in the hot Eltham climate. Braemar is just remarkable to work so well. Braemar had been very beneficial in providing cooling inour home on hot days (no more hot nights) because it's very effective and cheap to run. The service had been satisfactory . No, my friend actually told me not to purchase it because it won't be effective (eg will not cool the house on very hot days) Yes, split system (I'm glad I choose evaporative, it cooled the whole house, my daughter sometimes had to turn it off because she was cold. There had been a Braemar installed in the home I purchased in 1998 and had been of good service until needing to be replaced in 2009. The house was then 34 1/2 years old, and while I am not sure when the ducted evaporative cooler had been first installed, it was quite an old unit which had lasted a very long time, which impressed me greatly. Since installing the Braemar Evaporative Cooling system I have found this to be very efficient for our needs in our area. We previously had a refrigerated Air Conditioner which was very noisy and made only cooling restricted to a small area and very stuffy. The best thing about Evap Cooling is that you can have doors and windows open which is very effective. I a m really impressed with this unit. I would recommend this product very highly. The installation was done with the minimum interruption to the working of the household. So far the installation has not required any correction or attention. The tradesman were equable and polite. Every summer when the temperature stayed high during the night I carried our mattresses downstairs where we have refrigerated cooling (split system) and we slept on the dining room floor. This became too difficult due to my age (78) and we decided to investigate additional cooling for upstairs. We went to various places for professional advice and pricing and then decided to deal with "Maroondah Cooling" Their salesman presented various makes and advised on strength of the outer housing, quietness of operation and favourable purchase price. Installation was promised for the 22nd Dec 2009 and so we decided to accept the deal. As promised, the workmen arrived on the promised date and installed the unit. They were well organized, courteous and professional and they even cleaned up before leaving. The service we received from our dealer was exceptional, he came to our home and advised on several aircons then delivered the quote after hours. We already had another company booked to come and quote but it was 2 weeks before they could manage it. Michael was there 2 days after our call and our aircon was installed within 10 days. We are so pleased with our Braemar as it is the best money we have spent on our house. Over summer, every time we walk into our house, just opening our front door is fantastic. We are greeted with a beautiful cool breeze. Another option is the fan which just blows fresh air from outside in which is great to freshen up the house if you have been away or ther is a bad smell, or you have been sick, it just pushes the old air out and keeps the air fresh. I am more than happy with my choice of evaporative cooling and would definitely recommend Braemar to my friends. After deciding on evaporative cooling over refrigerated air conditioning I researched 3 brands. I called dealers to give me a quote and answer a few questions, knowing that the Braemar was a preferred choice by the dealer was all the confirmation I needed and it has definitely been a good decision. Easy to operate, quiet and extremely cool, no problems and a 5 year warranty in any case. Plus $100 cahsback which I was not even aware of when I decided to purchase. I got my air conditioner put in last October 2009 and we had a very hot summer. My son fell very sick over Xmas and lucky I put in the Braemar evaporative air-conditioning because we had to have hospital in the home for weeks. Our Braemar Evaporative Air Conditioner has exceeded our expectations and we now wish we had one installed two years ago. Our home was too hot and stuffy which made us feel lethargic and we experienced too many sleepless nights. We were looking at both evaporative cooling and split systems but for us the evaporative cooling was more economical for the area we needed to cover (3 bedrooms, open plan kitchen, dining and lounge). We chose Braemar because it is well known and has been around for years. The installation was complete and working in one day, with friendly service all the way. We were really impressed, it has been a blessing for us as we are seniors and can no longer handle the heat.

We were advised that Braemar produced the best evaporative cooling unit in Australia. Little did we know in December 2008 that within 2 months we would experience a heat wave of historical magnitude in Melbourne. Having done some research in electrical stores on reverse cycle air conditioners, I became frustrated with their lack of knowledge and unprofessional attitude. I decided to ring air conditioning specialist, Middleton's. Arriving home from work, they had surveyed our home and explained the benefits of evaporative cooling. Their professionalism is what helped sell Braemar and like the brochure said it is like a sea breeze. We are not shut up as in reverse cycle and even the cat will now stay inside while it is on. With the rising cost of living and a new baby to contend with, we wondered whether we could afford evaporative cooling this year. We decided perhaps it was worth it with a long hot summer in store, and couldn't be more pleased! As I write this it is 46 degrees outside and a comfortable 26 degrees inside. A lovely cool breeze flows through our home and our baby boy sleeps soundly!! (Well, most of the time!) The dealer spent a good hour sitting with us, describing the pros and cons of different options, compared with two competitors, one who refused to visit the home at all until we agreed to place a deposit (on something we knew nothing about!) and the other, who walked in, looked around and spent 7 minutes telling me what they would do and how much it would cost. We were able to make our decision therefore based on full knowledge of our options and confidence in the dealers' recommendation to go with Braemar. In the end, we went with the most affordable, environmentally friendly product and the best service. We couldn't be happier.

Being an electrician by trade I carefully compared running costs, ease of maintenance and reliability issues of many evaporative units. Speaking to many in the trade, I was directed by the above issues to Braemar. A friend at work had an evaporative unit also and was wrapped with his, so I decided to purchase one. Installation and running costs made refrigerated units or split systems undesirable for me, although many people recommended them. Running cost was the reason I decided not to get refrigerated! Being unsure at first whether I had made the correct decision for evaporative, since I've had it installed I have ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS! Quiet, low cost of running fresh air through the house, I should have done it years ago. At night when it cools down its great, fresh air from outside, evacuates stale air in the house - its great! The model Braemar we purchased has a remote dump valve and auto water saver which are both very handy to have. Auto temperature control is great. You just set it and leave it and it automatically cuts out water pump then fan speed to suit the temperature in the house. When we go to sleep we leave it on 'auto' and just sleep and let the controller do the work and its accurate and cheap to run. The reason I chose Braemar is I rang many repair and service agents and Braemar was the unit that gave no problems! It was an easy choice. AGL installed our unit and we would recommend them for prompt service and good workmanship.

We contacted our dealer and we got an explanation about three different airconditioner they represented - it was easy for us to choose Braemar. The components like filter, automatic cleaning and the totally enclosed tropical proof motor, as well as how the system had been built together, triggered our confidence in it. 'Good things come to those who wait' - after 27 years without ducted airconditioning we are now enjoying cool comfort throughout the house (night & day) with our Braemar LCB550. We have very hot summers but the Braemar is coping extremely well. The service we received from the dealer from our initial enquiries to installation was second to none - extremely helpful and efficient. Without a doubt we got the best product for our money.
